Twelve-year-old Trevor Hattabaugh has performed stand-up comedy at the Comedy Store in LA, the Ha Ha Café in Hollywood, the Westside Comedy Club in Portland, Wise Guys in Salt Lake City, at over 40 corporate, political and community events in Idaho, Oregon and Nevada and, until recently, at the Funny Bone in Boise. Hattabaugh has opened for several wonderful comedians like Late Show comic, Eddie Brill, Gary Owen and Jimmy JJ Walker (of “Good Times” fame), who recently mentioned Hattabaugh on Letterman http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1OfzNr-E40 . Billed as the nation’s youngest stand-up comic, Hattabaugh’s fresh material and delivery both surprise and amuse audiences.
Hattabaugh got his start standing on bar stools telling jokes at parties. At 9, he talked his way into the Boise State University Comedy Contest and was discovered by Pat Mac who runs the local comedy club. Mac helped Hattabaugh develop and perform original material and got him his first gigs. At 10, Hattabaugh won the BSU contest. He has since been contacted by “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “The Late Show with David Letterman” and “America’s Got Talent.”
Last year, Hattabaugh was banned from performing at the Boise Funny Bone by the Idaho Alcohol Beverage Control because they consider the comedy club a bar, so his recent performances have been out-of-state or corporate gigs.
Hattabaugh played the role of Charlie in Prairie Dog Productions’ Willy Wonka. He played principle roles in feature length films, “Vagabond Lane” and “The Sanguinarian” and has also shot commercials.
Stand up has taught Hattabaugh to think on his feet so he is especially articulate, engaging and amusing in interviews, improv and Q & A sessions.
When he’s not on stage, you can find Hattabaugh skiing bumps , jumps and powder in the mountains or playing with his buddies on the soccer field. He free-style skis with Team Tamarack and ISP and is sponsored by Salomon, Scott and Helly Hansen. Hattabaugh plays soccer with FC-Boise.
